Premier 50 is the only current account designed specifically for the over 50s and comes with a wide range of benefits.
Premier 50 Earn 6.0% AER rate
• Earn 6.0% AER (fixed for 1 year) on balances up to £2,500. Rate reverts to Bank of England Base Rate less 1%. 0.10% (variable) on balances over £2,500.
• 0% EAR typical overdraft. No usage fees on arranged overdrafts for 12 months from when you open the account (new customers only). A usage fee of 50p a day (up to £5 a month) applies after that. Maximum overdraft limit is £2,000.

• Premier 50 offers worldwide annual travel insurance
(available up to the age of 79)
Premier 50 Health Benefits
• Prompt access to the first stages of essential health care for new medical conditions arising after you join.
• Each year, Premier 50 Health Benefits provide up to two eligible out-patient private medical consultations and access to up to £750 worth of private out-patient diagnostic testing for each account holder, if you are aged 79 or under.
• You can also receive unlimited access to a 24-hour health information service.
Premier 50 Identity Protection and Alert
• We’ll help you protect yourself from fraudsters.
• You can register for credit alerts, letting you know about any unusual changes to your credit status, and you’ll also receive access to expert advice on preventing fraud.
• If you become a victim of identity theft, you’ll get advice on what to do and up to £50,000 insurance protection to help you get your identity back.
Premier 50 Card Assist
• One simple call allows you to report all your cards as lost or stolen, and order replacement cards.
• If this happens while you are abroad, we can also arrange for an emergency cash advance of up to £1,500 for accommodation costs and £1,500 for expenses so you can still enjoy your trip. This depends on your circumstances and you must repay this money within 28 days.
